A digital control tower that transforms fragmented 4PL logistics into one seamless platform
Together with Wayfindr we built Bundl, a digital control tower for 4PL logistics. It unifies shipments, data, workflows, and partner communication in one platform so logistics teams gain full visibility, reduce manual work, and run global operations with confidence.
Global logistics becomes chaotic when data lives in different systems, partners work in isolation, and teams rely on spreadsheets to keep shipments moving. For 4PL providers, the real challenge is creating one clear view across carriers, warehouses, suppliers, and customers.
Wayfindr wanted a platform that could unify this entire flow. Existing tools were too rigid and could not support the level of visibility, automation, and control their operations required.
We built Bundl, a digital control tower that brings all shipment data, milestones, communication, and workflows into one system. It connects carrier pipelines, standardizes updates, and highlights exceptions so teams focus only on what needs attention. Customers get real time visibility. Internal teams reduce manual coordination. Operations become predictable instead of reactive.
Bundl now supports Wayfindr’s global logistics network and acts as a core part of their operating model. It gives structure, transparency, and speed to an industry that typically runs on fragmented information.
Product Development Process
Bundl was born from Wayfindr’s need to bring structure to a global logistics operation that had outgrown the limits of spreadsheets, emails, and scattered systems. Their teams were managing hundreds of shipments daily across regions, partners, and transport modes, but the information lived everywhere except in one clear place. The first step in the development process was understanding how this fragmentation affected daily operations. We worked closely with their teams to map how shipments flowed, where information broke down, and which steps created the most operational drag.
With this insight, we designed an initial version of Bundl that focused on clarity. It brought real time logistics data into one platform and standardized the shipment milestones that Wayfindr relied on. This early foundation became the backbone of the product. Teams immediately had a clearer overview of their operations, which validated that centralization was the right starting point.
From there, we focused on automation. Much of the manual work inside Wayfindr’s operations came from repetitive tasks, inconsistent updates from partners, and missing information. We collaborated with operations managers to translate these patterns into structured workflows. Each automated flow was tested against real shipments before expanding across markets. This approach ensured that automation supported actual processes instead of forcing teams to adapt to rigid software logic.
Handling multi market operations introduced another layer of complexity. Different regions, partners, and logistics models meant that Bundl had to be adaptable. We solved this by building configurable structures that could adjust to regional differences while still keeping the experience unified. This allowed Bundl to scale across new markets without losing consistency or clarity.
Throughout development, visibility remained the core principle. Every feature, refinement, or extension had to contribute to a clearer picture of shipments and exceptions. We tested interfaces with real users, watched how they navigated bottlenecks, and refined the design until the workflow felt natural to operators, managers, and customer facing teams.
Bundl evolved into a critical part of Wayfindr’s operating model through this constant cycle of observation, validation, and improvement. What started as a tool to bring data together became a platform that defines how the company runs its global 4PL logistics network.
Technical Approach
Bundl was built on an architecture designed to unify logistics data and make global operations predictable. The foundation centers on a single source of truth that collects shipment data from carriers, systems, and partners, then structures it into a clear, standardized format. This gives Wayfindr reliable visibility across regions, transport modes, and complex supply chain flows.
The backend was designed to handle large volumes of logistics events without losing accuracy. Each update is normalized, matched to the correct shipment, and mapped to a consistent milestone model. This removes the inconsistencies that normally appear when working with different carriers and regional processes.
Scalability was essential. Wayfindr operates across multiple markets, so Bundl needed an architecture that could adapt without rebuilding core logic. We created flexible components that allow new routes, partners, and regions to be added without changing the underlying workflow. This ensures the platform grows with the business instead of holding it back.
The frontend was designed around clarity and fast decision making. Operators see milestones, exceptions, and key shipment details in one clean view. Customer facing teams get an interface that makes communication and tracking straightforward. Every screen helps reduce operational noise and highlight what requires action.
Reliability was a core requirement. Logistics relies on precise timing, so Bundl was engineered to handle real time updates and maintain accuracy across the chain. From data ingestion to milestone updates, the platform ensures that teams and clients are always looking at the most current information.
Bundl’s technical foundation supports Wayfindr’s global 4PL model with stability, scale, and clear visibility. It enables a logistics operation that is faster, more transparent, and significantly more predictable.
Methodology
Our approach to building Bundl was grounded in a close collaboration with Wayfindr’s logistics teams. Instead of designing features in isolation, we studied real shipments, real bottlenecks, and the real processes that shaped their daily work. This allowed us to build a product that fit naturally into their operations from the very first version.
We started with a discovery phase that mapped the full journey of a shipment across different markets. This helped us understand how data moved, where it stalled, and which steps demanded manual intervention. These insights shaped the initial design principles for Bundl: centralize data, standardize milestones, and simplify decision making.
Development took place in short cycles. After each release, we tested the platform with real logistics scenarios to confirm that updates improved clarity and speed. When something created friction, we refined it. When a pattern repeated across markets or partners, we formalized it into a structured workflow. This iterative approach ensured that Bundl always reflected the real needs of Wayfindr’s operations.
As the platform expanded into new markets, we validated every configuration against actual processes in those regions. This avoided the rigidity that often slows down logistics platforms and kept Bundl adaptable without losing consistency.
The methodology also emphasized accuracy. Logistics depends on precise information, so each component was validated under real world conditions before going live. This protected the reliability that Wayfindr needed to operate smoothly across multiple markets.
By keeping the feedback loop tight and grounded in operational reality, Bundl evolved into a platform that strengthened the entire 4PL delivery model. The methodology ensured that every improvement moved Wayfindr closer to a logistics operation that runs with clarity, speed, and predictability.
Conclusion
Bundl gave Wayfindr the structure their global logistics operation needed. By centralizing data, standardizing milestones, and automating key workflows, the platform replaced scattered tools with a single, reliable system that supports every part of the 4PL process. Teams gained visibility. Customers received clearer updates. Operations became faster and more predictable.
The result is a platform that now sits at the core of Wayfindr’s business model. It helps the company scale across markets without adding operational chaos and delivers a level of transparency that strengthens relationships with partners and clients.
Bundl transformed logistics from a reactive process into a controlled, data driven operation. It shows what happens when technology aligns perfectly with the reality of global supply chain work.
The product replaced fragmented tools and connected Wayfindr’s entire supply chain into one cohesive platform.
Automated workflows reduced manual labour, lowered errors, and improved operational accuracy.
Clients received faster updates, clearer visibility, and more reliable end to end service.
